The US/Soviet Union Space Race historical backdrop with the development of rocket technology during the Cold War era including:
-"A Balance of Terror"
-"The Berlin Wall"
- "Crisis over Cuba"

- "The Wave" - reading assignment by Todd Strasser

- Supplementary material including assorted texts / TV news articles / Media articles.

Factual stories/events that relate to specific technological breakthroughs and ideas that have impacted the discussions around ethics and their implementations. Ranging from medical issues such as vaccines, people and culture such as the death penalty to autonomous vehicles.

Below are a series of case studies that highlight some well-known scientific and/or technological ethical issues.

Titel 4 British History and Culture

History of Britain - People and Culture. Themes Include:

London's story and London today.

The "Thatcher" years with the teaching touching on social/political/technological issues of the time. The Falklands War, the Miner's Strike and historical technological achievements such as The Story of the Railways.

The teaching also focuses on cultural issues such as multiculural Britain and updates on today's Britain as well reading the young adult fictional story Billy Elliot by Melvin Burgess.
