Titel 7

Detective Fiction and The Curious Incident

I dette forløb ser vi nærmere på genren detective fiction og murder mysteries i forbindelse med læsning af værket "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" af Mark Haddon.
Vi starter med at sætte os ind i nogle af genrens kendetræk og litterære historie. Vi læser bl.a. de første to kapitler af Arthur Conan Doyle's første roman med Sherlock Holmes, "A Study in Scarlet" og ser en nyfortolket version i afsnittet "A Study in Pink" fra BBC-serien "Sherlock".
Romanen "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" af Mark Haddon læses med særlig fokus på Christopher som karakter og amatørdetektiv.
Til sidst er der set nærmere på the hard-boiled detective/private investigator (PI) med læsning af første kapitel af ”I, the Jury” af Mickey Spillane.
