Titel 1

Introduction to Business

In this course, we will focus on entrepreneurship and business communication. You will learn why some people start their own company and you will do a creative assignment, where you set up your own street food company and do a presentation on your thoughts about the company and the start-up process (in groups).

We also discuss how to adapt your communication to a business context, and you will learn how to write a polite business email with an appropriate structure and courtesy phrases.

Titel 2

Introduction to Culture

In this course, we explore what culture is and how it shapes the way we think and behave. We focus on some of the core values of Danish culture, exploring power, hygge, happiness and politeness with different cultural theories (Edgar Schein and Geert Hofstede).

We also discuss how Danish culture influences behavior in the workplace and what to be aware of when working in an international environment, for example with American and Japanese co-workers.
