Grundforløb - Who am I?
The introductory course in English focuses on the theme: Who am I?
The texts in this theme deal with becoming who we are. What factors influence personality? The people you will meet tell us about the events, beliefs, challenges, and choices that formed their personalities. They are not famous, they are not geniuses, they are not unique - they are, in many ways, just like you and me. But the stories about how they become them might make you think about what makes you you.
Students will be introduced to reading strategies and how to use dictionaries. Students will expand vocabulary related to the theme and improve their oral proficiency.
Grammar areas to be covered: “ordstilling” and “kongruens”. Writing skills to be trained: how to write a summary, how to write a characterisation, and how to do grammar exercises.
