-Your task:
1. You are a news presenter at an American news station of your own choosing, and you want to make a news story about climate change for the 7 o'clock news. Write the story and use your phone to record a video of one from your group, who is the news presenter. The other group members must also have a role, so everyone gets to say something – you could interview experts or go to a reporter on the site of where your story takes place.
2. You need to look at the story from 2 different viewpoints. First you tell the story using a discourse focusing on positive outcomes and climate solutions with the aim to raise hopes, and inspire people to take action.
3. Next you tell the same story but this time it should focus on a climate discourse that centers around how a climate breakdown is imminent. Use a few war phrases in your news story to communicate the seriousness of climate change.
4. Include a conclusion where you evaluate how the way a story is told can influence how people’s attitude to the climate debate can change.
