Multicultural Britain
Hovedfokus i dette forløb er romanen Home Fire, der læses som et værk. Vi undersøger samfundsmæssige og kulturelle forhold for personer med muslimsk baggrund i England med særlig fokus på islamisk radikalisering. I denne forbindelse undersøger vi temaer som tilhørsforhold, national identitet, identitetskrise, loyalitet, frihed, værdier og holdninger i muslimske miljøer i England. Romanen læses desuden som en moderne udgave af Antigone.
Derudover læses tekster om den historiske baggrund og udvikling af Storbritanniens immigration .
