Beskrivelse af de enkelte undervisningsforløb (1 skema for hvert forløb)
Titel 1 Grundforløb - Business introductory course

Formålet med engelsk i grundforløbet er at præsentere eleverne for, hvad engelsk på hhx er.
Forløbet har til formål at introducere eleverne til business-delen af engelsk og kommer således til at berøre forskellige aspekter af den merkantile verden.
Forløbet skal også hjælpe eleverne til at nå til en afklaring af valg af skoleform i løbet af grundforløbet.
Der lægges vægt på at introducere eleverne til, hvad der må antages at være et fremmed aspekt af engelskfaget, ligesom engelsk på gymnasieniveau og som selvstændig gymnasieelev er i fokus.
Begreber som retailing, advertising, market segmentation, franchising, marketing og business communication introduceres.

Vi arbejder såvel induktivt som deduktivt. Arbejdsformerne veksler mellem klasse-, gruppe-, par- og individuelt arbejde, ligesom der arbejdes med både elevernes kommunikative, receptive og produktive kompetencer.

AIDA-modellen, kommunikationsmodellen og markedssegmentering introduceres som metoder.
Eleverne afleverer to skriftlige opgaver inden for emnet business communication, og det sidste modul er afsat til repetition af emner i grupper og evaluering.

We work with American history and culture.
We focus on key concepts and events in American history for example the first European immigrants, City Upon a Hill, The Declaration of Independence, The American Civil War.
Furthermore, the students (in groups) present new (20th/21st century) events in American history, for example The Great Depression, Pearl Harbour, The Vietnam War, The Financial Crisis, Donald Trump etc.
