Introduction to democracy and different political systems. The students are introduced to different kind of democracy and the Danish political landscape.
We look into the role of the mass media in Denmark and internationally.
We finish by focusing at the US election (Nov. 5th).

Forløb#2 Sociology&identity in late modern society
Focus:
In the teaching we will focus on the differnt types of societies, what identity formation and socialisation include. We explore how we as individuals form our idendity and how much our identity is form from other factors for instance influenced by familytypes, the surroundings, the social media.
We look into what characterise late modernity and how dangers/risks be associated with the individual identity formation process in a late modern society.
We will discuss how the individual identity resemble someone else's identity.
Besides we will look into different "tools" and methods used in the social sciences. For instance how to collect data, how to define and generate different types of data etc.
