Business ethics and CSR
The focus of this course is for the students to become familiar with human rights, ethics, business ethics, and CSR. The class worked with various ethical issues, both in terms of human-to-human relationships and also in relation to business-to-human, business-to-environment, and similar contexts.
Students work with topics such as Fair Trade, watchdog organizations, and fast fashion.

The focus of this is to provide the students with knowledge of Disney as a company and to enable them to discuss and reflect on ethics and morality (including CSR) in relation to the extent to which a company like Disney should take a stand on and actively engage in societal issues and challenges.

In addition, an analysis of Tangled with a focus on a gender-critical reading, as well as a class discussion on how and to what extent a postcolonial reading of Moana is or can be meaningful.
Moreover, the students worked with an individual presentation each, focused on answering an assignment shaped much as a SOP would be:
"Provide a brief account of social conditions in the USA that may be relevant to The Walt Disney Company's branding in relation to diversity and social inequality.
Develop an analysis of self-chosen communication material from the company, focusing on how they promote their views on diversity and social inequality to their target audience.
Discuss whether The Walt Disney Company has a responsibility to address current social issues, and evaluate, if possible, whether they are successful in their branding strategy."
The students did their own research and work and the product was an oral presentation.

USA - politics and presidential election
The class has previously been introduced to the American political system and electoral system, but in this course, they have received a review and outline of these topics in preparation for the U.S. presidential election.
In addition, the students worked—individually, in pairs, and in groups—on the election, the Presidential candidates, the two parties, etc. There was a high degree of individual research using American news media (including work on the political bias of various news outlets), where students presented relevant pieces news to the class or in groups.
