Med udgangspunkt i kortere historiske taler arbejdes der med retorisk analyse med fokus på faglige begreber (the rhetorical pentagon, modes of appeal, types of speeches, imagery (tenor/vehicle), rhetorical devices) . Forløbet afsluttes med filmen "The Darkest Hour" med fokus på Churchill som taler. Afslutningsvis skriver og fremfører eleverne egne taler.
