The course seeks to investigate the issues surrounding trans rights, mainly in the UK. The students have worked with trans terminology, the waves of feminism, and selective instances of trans inclusion, namely public bathrooms, athleticism and changing rooms. The textual focus has been on examples of prominent antitrans rhetoric, as a counterweight to the trans authored novel Dreadnought.

Forløbet har haft til formål at undersøge Irsk identitet og kultur i lyset af Britisk imperialisme, med særligt fokus på hvordan dette kommer til udtryk i den irske folkemusik tradition. Der er anlagt et kronologisk sigte, fra the Great Famine frem til Brexit, med en afstikker amerikansk-irsk identitet i et mere anakronistisk perspektiv. Dette er gjort for at give eleverne indsigt i et tredje engelsktalende område, og hvordan sådanne er betinget af britisk imperialisme.
