Titel 1 1 UK: Social classes and homelessness

UK: Social classes and homelessness

I forløbet arbejder vi med med emnerne social classes og samfundsforhold i England.
Der arbejdes med et landeportræt af UK, hvor vi kommer omkring emnerne homelessness, social classes, education og inequality.
Hovedværket i dette forløb er romanen Stone Cold af Robert Swindells, som viser skyggesiden af det britiske samfund, uligheden og en udsat befolkningsgruppe. Samtidigt har bogen et crime tema, som kan
relateres til Crime forløbet.
I forløbet arbejder vi med genrelæsning, fiction analysis (personkarakteristik, setting osv. ) under
inddragelse af non-fiction og teori fra det supplerende materiale
Fokus har især været på at lære om britisk kultur og samfundsforhold med henblik på at forstå hvordan social classes er en del af det britiske samfund.
Centrale begreber i forløbet: inequality, disparity, social mobility, poverty, elite, rough sleeping, identity, family conflicts, social privilege.

Titel 2 SO2: ENG / VØ

Tværfaglig opgave med engelsk og virksomhedsøkonomi (SO2).

Emne: CSR i tøjindustrien/JD Sports. Rapport skrevet i grupper med efterfølgende individuelt forsvar. Problemformulering: Udarbejd en virksomhedsprofil for JD Sports med fokus på forretningsområder, den økonomiske situation og CSR-aktiviteter. Udarbejd en kommunikationsanalyse med udgangspunkt i det retoriske pentagram for at undersøge, hvordan JD Sports kommunikerer gennem sin CSR-rapportering. Anvend Ashridge-modellen til at analysere JD Sports’ brug af CSR. I skal fokusere på medarbejderaktiviteter, leverandøraktiviteter og miljøaktiviteter. Baseret på ovenstående analyser og materiale, skal I diskutere fordele og ulemper ved JD Sports’ rapportering og kommunikation af CSR-aktiviteter. Til alle ovenstående punkter skal I finde eksternt materiale om JD Sports, der understøtter og/eller stiller sig kritisk overfor JD Sports’ CSR-aktiviteter samt materiale der viser, hvordan virksomheden har ændret disse aktiviteter.
