Titel 4 Conspiracy Theories -EXAM

We've worked with the theme Conspiracy Theories and watched the documentary The Social Dilemma. Focus is American society and conspiracy theories in the USA, what characterises a conspiracy theory and why we are being drawn to them.

We've had projectbased groupwork with presentations and written articles on:
the moonlanding, holocaust denial, Flat Earth, QA-non, Sandy Hook-actors, Bill Gates/Covid/vaccines/microchips, The Clinton Assassinations, or deep state.
Technology and the spread of conspiracies.

We've listened to podcasts on conspiracies and fake news in the presidential election, as well as the the attempted assassination of Donald Trump: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/13/podcasts/the-daily/ohio-immigrants-pets.html
and (Secondary literature) Stjerner og Striber

We've worked with Toulmin, rhetorical analysis and briefely with the lasswell/shannon weaver model.

Vi har læst: Conspiracy Theories in " The Science of..." s. 40-81 og Being American 38-43, 49-53 og 64-75

Derudover arbejder vi med Do-omskrivning og hjælpeverberne to be og to have.

Forløbet fokuserer på: Retoriske virkemidler,  retorisk analyse og argumentationsanalyse, amerikanske værdier og partier, amerikanske samfundsforhold og latinoer i USA. Forløbet ligger op til SRO'en, for den ene studieretning.

Titel 7 South Africa - EXAM

We've seen the documentary:  Historien om Apartheid part 1 og 2 (DR2, 2010) and the movie (2009).

We've read From Dompas to Democracy p. 10-13, 15-17, 20, 48-50, 57-61, 63-66 og 146-148
Finally we've read and worked with Nadine Gordimer's "Once upon a time." and written an essay on Gcina Mhlophe's "The Toilet".

Focus has been on the colonial history of South Africa, apartheid, life during aparthed, the Soweto uprising and Sharpville Massacre, Nelson Mandela and the interenational pressure on South Africa in order to get apartheid abolished. As well as ELF.

Titel 8 The Romantic Era -Poetry and Romanticism

We're working with the first and the second generation romantic poets, the period in general as well as literary and auditory devices.

Titel 9 The fiction of the Romantic Era -EXAM

Here we are building on what we already know about Romanticism and the historical period, as well as working with examples of the three literary movements of the time:
The Novel of Manners: Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice
The Gothic Novel: Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
and very briefely with the Historical Novel: Walter Scott's Ivanhoe
We are also working on readings -analytical schools - as well as literary theory and literary analysis:
Narration, POV, setting,
First person narrator.
Third person narrator, omniscient and free indirect speech
Showing and telling. Description, literature as a comment on political and social issues.
We'll also watch a movie: "Pride and Prejudice", Joe Wright, (2005).

Titel 10 Shakespeare - Romeo and Juliet - EXAM

Focus has been the Renaissance and understanding Romeo and Juliet, the historical context Shakespeare wrote it, as well as Elizabethan theatre and tragedy.

We build on the terminology we've already worked with in poetry analysis (in The Romantic Era) (poetic devices.) as well as language in the Elizabethan Era.

We've watched the movies: Shakespeare in Love and Baz Luhrman's Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

We've read and worked with prologue, Act 1, Act 2, and Act 5.
As well as sonnet 116, 18 and 130

Her har vi den sidste del af South Africa-forløbet - ELF og det moderne Sydafrika.  Ekstra til andre eksamensforløb. Spørgsmål.
