Going Mental + værklæsning
During this subject we have focused on the reading of the novel, learning how to analyze fiction and using the relevant analytical terms. We have explored the topic of mental health through different discussions and analyses. When reading the novel we have also talked about how relevant the novel is today, focusing on how women are portrayed, how mental health is perceived and how times may or may not have changed. We have also talked about non-fiction analysis and film analysis.

Evil
This subject has dealt with the concept of evil and the way it is portrayed in both fiction and non-fiction. How can we define evil? Do we need evil to understand what is good? Is man fundamentally evil or good – or do we all possess both elements? What triggers evil and what prevents it from surfacing? Why are we so fascinated by evil? Focus throughout has been on whether criminals are bad or mad. The class has also made group presentations of a chosen serial killer where focus has been on formulating relevant problem statements and consequently answering them.
