arbejdsmønstre i hjemmene.

International Politics
Course Description:
This course explores the structure of global power and the theories and actors that shape international relations. Key concepts include the hierarchy of power, the distinction between unipolar, bipolar, and multipolar world orders, as well as the use of soft and hard power in foreign policy.
Students examine major theoretical perspectives such as idealism and realism, and engage with the ideas of Francis Fukuyama and Samuel Huntington on global order and conflict. The role of the United Nations is discussed critically—whether it functions as an arena or an actor—alongside an analysis of American foreign policy and the question of whether Europe is left 'home alone' in the current geopolitical landscape.

DKintheworld- Danish FP, welfare and EU membership
This thematic course examines Denmark's role and opportunities in the world, taking its point of departure in the highly current conflict situation surrounding Greenland, Denmark's foreign policy, and its relationship with the USA. The course closely follows the situation in Greenland.
The goals and opportunities within Danish foreign policy form the theoretical foundation, alongside knowledge of the EU and its development, as the EU is central to Denmark's relationship with the outside world. EUs background, institutions and integration-theories is also included.
As part of the course is a theme day (January 30, 2026) featuring a roleplay with the case on the European Parliament's AI legislation, facilitated by DEO (Demokrati i Europa Oplysningsforbundet).
Finally, the Danish and other welfare models are examined to understand the framework within which Denmark operates, with a focus on how the EU and other factors may challenge this model.
Core Content
Actors, power, security, conflicts, and integration in Europe and internationally
Goals and opportunities in Danish foreign policy
Political decision-making processes in Denmark in a global context, including the political systems of Denmark and the EU
