Going Places
What makes us pack our bags and head out? What do we hope and expect to find, and what do we learn from new experiences and foreign cultures?
The texts in this course take us on journeys around the world from the shores of Florida to the streets of Marrakesh. They shed light on different cultures, their similarities and differences and the way these cultures see each other. When learning about others, we also learn about ourselves. When going to places far away, we learn about home, too.
