Titel 1

2: Twisted Stories (ej eksamensforløb)

Forløb nr 1 blev gennemgået i grundforløbet. De fleste af klassens elever arbejdede med Sustainability. Andre arbejdede med Growing up. Fælles for alle elever er, at grundforløbet introducerede til grundlæggende analysetermer og basis grammar.

("2: Twisted Stories" er gennemgået i 1.g med tidligere kollega - lorløbet er ikke eksamensforløb)

Forløbet beskæftiger sig med fiktionshistorier med et twist. Fokus er på næranalyse af noveller, herunder characterization, setting, symbolism, narrative structure og narrative technique. Som en del af forløbet indgår også et skriftlighedsforløb om at skrive delelementer i et ’analytical essay on fiction’, herunder PEE paragraphs.

Sideløbende arbejdes der med grammatik i "Getting Started. Engelsk Grammatik". Her arbejdes med Del 1: Verber I: "Hvad er verber?", "Kongruens" og "Verbets tider".

3: Crime in Fiction (Eksamensforløb)

(Forløbet er gennemgået i 1.g med tidligere kollega og repeteres inden eksamen - forløbet er eksamensforløb)

Forløbet beskæftiger sig med krimifiktionshistorier, crime fiction. Fokus er på næranalyse af noveller, herunder characterization, plot, genre, narrator & point of view.

Som en del af forløbet indgår også et skriftlighedsforløb om at skrive delelementer i et ‘analytical essay on fiction’, herunder PEE paragraphs og brødtekst med fokus på afsnit og layout, topic sentence, supporting sentences, delkonklusion, samt at forbinde afsnit.

Focus on: This course focuses on applying theories on culture to fictional and non-fictional texts from around the world. Students explore the concepts of identity, stereotypes, and prejudices while developing intercultural competence through the study of value dimensions. The course also introduces argumentation analysis for non-fiction and uses new criticism as a method to analyze fictional texts.
