Climate Change - Why Care?
This topic focuses on man-made climate change and its consequences. It aims to make students aware of how the actions of human beings may influence nature's balance negatively. We have looked at the scientific side of it, getting an understanding of what a carbon footprint is, but we have also studied climate writing, including climate fiction (so-called "cli-fi"). Climate writers want their readers to understand and act upon the urgency of the climate crisis. We have worked in-depth with analysing fiction, specifically charaterisation, setting and symbolism (short stories and short films).
